For over 35 years, Walnut Creek Country Club and the Battle of the Nines committee have presented the annual Charity Classic Tournament.

 

Since its inception, over $600,000 has been donated to various persons and organizations in the Mansfield area.

Below, are just a few ways Battle of the Nines has been able to help residents in the community. 

 

  • Assisted a young family who was celebrating their 3rd child, when unexpectedly the husband was diagnosed with ALS. 

  • Three Mansfield families who are coping with cancer and struggling financially.  

  • Provide Christmas for 12 kids from Mary Orr Intermediate School (clothes, toys, food, etc.).

  • Teacher in MISD who lost her husband suddenly to kidney failure, BOTN assisted with funeral expenses and medical bills.

  • MISD coach diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, facing mounting medical expenses.

  • A MISD teacher battling breast cancer and liver cancer. She has been overwhelmed with bills and other expenses. 

  • Helped a young mother rebound from her 3rd bout with cancer. Only in her mid-20’s and she is struggling with mounting medical bills, limited ability to work all while trying to be the best mother she can.

  • 14-yr old who battled childhood cancer and is now struggling with the side effects of the radiation.

  • 8-yr old girl who was diagnosed with a non-cancerous brain tumor, it was successfully removed but left severe side effects. Family is facing mounting medical and physical therapy bills. 

  • Assisted financial help for 19-yr old who lost her mother and is left to provide for her 4 younger brothers.

Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds are used to support Mansfield area residents in need!
